Dogs are wonderful pets, very playful, love to learn and totally dedicated with unconditional devotion to their owners.  They are very intelligent and extremely protective of you, but because of their ancestry, that combination can become a problem, and like many dog owners, you've probably experienced your share of behavior problems from your best buddy, whether it's a new puppy or a full grown adult.  Believe it or not, a dog, by its nature, doesn't really understand human emotion, but they do read body language very well.  They will know when your body tells them you are happy or sad or angry, but they don't really understand why.  Their ancestry is a pack mentality where the pack as a whole is one, and there is a leader, the Alpha Dog.  This term is the basis of the How to Become the Alpha Dog guide available to you free.
